William Bennett was born in Newport, South Wales and is proud of his Welsh heritage. He is 10 years old and competes at club championship events at Shenington, Whilton Mill and PF International. He started his race career at the age of 7 with bambino karts at Daytona Motorsport in Milton Keynes, progressing to the cadet class and competing in the Daytona Inkart championship taking many championship podiums and finishing 4th in the championship. In 2023 after a successful test with Jade Karts at the Shenington buying a Birel ART 950 kart with a view to competing at club level. Starting at Shenington in 2023 in just his first year managing a result of 6th having not competed in all the rounds and finishing 7th overall in the Whilton Mill championship after only competing in one round. In 2024 William continued his racing, concentrating on building experience and competed at the Shenington Kart Club championship IAME Waterswift restricted category. It was a difficult year, and in the end with no championship trophy in sight he switched to the Waterswift Inter category, the extra power and speed immediately proved a better setup for him and some progress was made in the last few rounds. Finishing 9th in the restricted championship and 14th in the Inter class at Shenington. He also started racing at PF International with a view to competing in the 2025 championship, finally finishing P17 in the restricted class. 2025 has seen a full calendar at Shenington and PF International, currently laying 4th in the Shenington championship with 3 rounds remaining and 28th in a very challenging class at PF.
